EU funded Projects | ICBC's participation in European Research

The Italian Compost and Biogas Consortium (ICBC) is a recognised stakeholder at both the European

and international levels in the field of organic waste reduction, separate collection and high-quality

recycling into organic fertilisers (compost) and energy carriers (biogas and biomethane).

Through its participation in scientific networks, technical working groups, and international partnerships,

ICBC contributes to the development of knowledge, methodologies, and innovative solutions

that support the circular economy, soil health, and the ecological transition.

Furthermore, ICBC has been involved for many years in European Union-funded research projects,

partnering with universities, research organisations, institutions and companies

across Europe to continuously improve the entire biowaste value chain.
